Well, I just got back from my second viewing of Pixar's "WALL-E", and I must say, it is no less impressive than the first time. Forget the gorgeous graphics and the excruciating detail exuding from the screen, this movie succeeds because of the strength of the story. A story that people could relate to, even if the main subjects were merely metal, plastic, electronic. Pixar effectively captured the robots' emotions (e.g., eye shape and tilt, body posture, moans and chirps) without the need for a script. On every occasion, I could feel what each robot was experiencing: the need for companionship, the feeling of rejection, the dread of losing a loved one.
I'm such a sucker for these types of stories =D
